CHARACTER
Name: Johnny Joestar
Canon: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Age: 19
Timeline: Chapter 86
Items with character at canon point:
A couple handfuls of freshly picked herbs (chamomile and mint mostly), and a small notebook within which he has written a collection of Gyro's extraordinarily stupid jokes
As long as his beloved horse Slow Dancer he has a dufflebag slung in front of her saddle which contains the following; a small knife, a deck of cards, a couple blankets, a change of clothes, a small tarp for a makeshift tent, more herbs, a can of super strong and amazing Italian coffee, a bag of sugar, a mug, binoculars, a map of North America, and a box of matches.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: n/a
Personality:
Happiness thy name is definitely not Johnny Joestar.
Johnny is a very bitter young man. Life has dealt him a lot of shitty cards and his behavior definitely reflects that. He is constantly guilt ridden, blaming himself for the death of his elder brother when he was a child. Barely a day goes by when he doesn't think about it. He has a father that showed him little love, despite his constant attempts to get his attention and affection. Many of the people he considered friends were really just hanging around him because of his wealth and the fame he gained as a genius jockey. These people abandoned him too after he was paralyzed.
Basically he's a lost and lonely boy at the very heart of things who is desperately looking for affection of any sort. But at the same time he tends to push most people away because he's afraid of being abandoned as well (it's a vicious cycle).
He hides this underneath a tough and bitter exterior. He lashes out at those who offer him pity, believing that pretty much anyone who actually wants to help doesn't really want to and is just making fun of him or is only helping him to get something else out of him. No one does anything for free and he sure as hell doesn't want to have to return any favors to anyone. This obviously makes friends a very rare thing for him. His suspicious and abrasive attitude makes it kind of hard for people to like him. This makes the odd friendship/student-teacher relationship with Gyro all the more special to him. There are so few people he connects with that his friendship is precious... despite the heaping piles of snark he subjects the poor guy to on a daily basis.
Because oh man is this kid snarky. He's got a comeback for practically everything and if he tells you that your joke is absolutely hilarious and proceeds to write it down so he won't forget it... What he really means is 'That joke was terrible and you should feel terrible for telling it.' He'll do this all while maintaining the best pokerface you will ever see (seriously don't play cards with the kid, he doesn't have any tells). But his snark isn't all that bad, for those he kinda likes it's usually at least a little more good natured then it normally is.
Luckily he's not all sass to the few people he cares about and considers friend. He has so few of them due to his off putting demeanor, the couple he does have mean so much to him. Though he has a hard time showing this and fuck you if you try and get him to admit he honestly likes a person, he will absolutely not say it out loud. But yeah, it's easy to tell who he likes. While he still makes fun of them there's less bite to his bark and his speech is more teasing and good natured as opposed to strait up 'I wanna pick a fight with you.' He expresses concern for them and worries for their well being. You also won't find a better secret keeper (He never tells a soul about Hot Pants' true gender, and he keeps Gyro's secret about his real name as well. Don't want the best buddy getting mad about everyone knowing his embarrassing name after all). He will also fight viciously in order to protect those few he does care about and will use every trick and ploy he can think of to keep them safe.
He smiles very rarely but these close friends are usually the only ones who can make him crack one. Just about the only times he actually does in canon are in response to some of Gyro's bad jokes.
Johnny has a surprising sense of justice for someone so grumpy. He's a pretty firm believer in what is right and what is wrong and tends to judge people based on their actions. This is why he was opposed to letting any harm come to Lucy, whom he believed was an innocent girl who had done nothing wrong, and was totally against Diego hanging out around himself and Gyro and would have just rather him to stay injured and unconscious out in the desert. Because, y'know. Diego is a liar and a cheater and probably an awful human being who has attacked him and there are zero things good about him.
This sense of justice can take a dark turn for him though. If someone has done something truly terrible, bad enough to want to kill them, it's all he can think about it. His focus is so consumed by this 'Dark Will' of his that he can't think of anything else, and barely notices what's going on around him.
Luckily this focus isn't always a bad thing. When he focuses on a task at hand he gets it done and he doesn't give up until it's done. He doubts himself of course. He doubts himself a lot, and he really doesn't think that highly of himself. He thinks about himself as someone who is less then zero. He'll yell that he can't do something. He'll cry and sometimes it looks like he'll give it up. But it bothers him, it lurks in the back of his mind, and no matter how many tears he sheds he'll eventually take another swing at it again. And if he gets knocked down he'll cry a little more but he'll try and try again until he succeeds.
I will conclude this personality section with Johnny's deepest darkest secret. He has a fetish. A bug bite fetish. He gets excited when he sees the little raised red bumps on a girl's skin.

Abilities:
I am just gonna preface this by saying Jojo powers are really fucking weird and this is going to get complicated sounding but Imma try and keep this as simple as I possibly can.
So Johnny can shoot his fingernails like bullets. This ability is not as necessarily useless as it sounds. His nail bullets are actually pretty strong and versatile. He gained this amaaaazing ability through a combination of gaining a Stand, and his basic understanding of the Spin ability.
Let's start with the Stand. A Stand is a sort of spirit guardian. They can't be touched by anything but another stand and they can grant their users strange powers. Johnny's Stand is Tusk and as mentioned it allows him to shoot his fingernails like bullets. It get's more complicated though. Johnny's Stand is a rare one as it can shift through different forms or 'Acts'. I'll be briefly describing each (though I'm going to be linking pictures to them rather then describing how they each look in detail because each four is very strange and different looking and if I describe them all this gonna take foreeeeever.)
Act 1 - The basic attack. He can shoot nails from both his fingers and toes. He can fire multiple rounds at once and his nails grow back very rapidly. The down side to this version is the bullets are relatively low powered, lack good range, and are difficult to aim properly.
Act 2 - After achieving Act 2 Tusk, this has been pretty much Johnny's go-to attack, even after obtaining Act 3 and 4. In this mode he can only use his fingernails and he can only fire one bullet at a time. However, the bullets pack a lot more punch and are just as strong, if not a little stronger then, a normal bullet. This is not the only bonus though. Johnny can make the bullet holes move after the bullet hits. Like say he misses the dude he was aiming at and hits the tree behind him. He can make the hole move and home in on the dude who was the original target. He can not move them indefinitely though, he's limited to about five seconds after it hits. In this Act and all others after it his nails take roughly five minutes to grow back, though chewing on herbs or drinking herbal tea can speed the process up to around a minute or so. This act can also be used to relocate damage done to himself to a limited point. If he's severely injured and he shoots the wound immediately afterwards he can then move the hole, and the damage, away and onto something else.
Act 3 - Johnny shoots himself in the head with one of his bullets. This allows him to enter the space that is with in the spiral and short range teleport himself or just parts of his body to get a better shot at an enemy.
Act 4 - This form of Tusk, unlike the Acts, is more likely to act on it's own. It has a more humanoid form and is capable of the classic Jojo Stand rapid fire punches. It's also very physically strong in this form and is capable of punching craters in the ground. The special ability this Act gives Johnny is a little tricky to pull off. This act is capable of bullets possessing an 'Infinite Rotation'. Basically being hit anywhere by a bullet in this act causes the body to begin 'unwind' and break down into dust. The only way to stop this process is to either get hit with an infinite rotation going the opposite direction, or to cut off the area around the bullet before it spreads to the rest of you body. This infinite rotation can not be achieved by Johnny along, it can really only be performed on horseback and only when the horse is galloping at it's most natural and comfortable. Which means it's pretty hard to pull off even when you know exactly how to do it.
Now on to a brief description of Spin. It's basically using the concepts of the golden rectangle to apply natural rotational force to something and make it rapidly spin. Which is more relevant to Gyro then Johnny but he applies spin to make his nail bullets work, he can also use Spin to launch himself off the ground over short distances. He doesn't use this technique very often though because it's very hard to control and doesn't get you far enough to make it a reliable mode of movement. But when you can't walk and you get into a lot of fights occasionally you need a way to very quickly get out of a spot.

Prose Log Sample:
Johnny poked the dying embers of last night's fire and threw a few twigs on to try and get a fire going. As usual he was the first one up and he really wanted to get his coffee going. He was addicted to the stuff and it was that damn Italian's fault for introducing the stuff to him. He didn't think he'd ever be able to survive without two cups in the morning now.
And speaking of Gyro... Johnny glanced over at the older man, ridiculous even in his sleep. He was clinging to that teddy bear of his and mumbling something about cheese. Johnny rolled his eyes and returned his attention to the fire. A few sparks had caught and he had a nice little flame going. Now all that was left was to haul the pre-filled kettle over and get the water boiling.
It was as he was pulling himself over and reaching for the handle that he heard it. A twig snapping. Johnny froze, looking in the direction the noise came from. There were a lot of bushes there and despite all the suspicious squinting he couldn't quite make out anything of any note in the shrubbery. It was probably an animal... but he'd run into waaaay too many people lately who were trying to kill him. You couldn't be too careful.
Keeping a careful eye on the bushes and one finger pointed dramatically (which was not as ridiculous as it seemed when the pointer could shoot his fingernails like bullets) in that direction he pulled himself over to his still sleeping friend.
"Hey," he hissed, shaking Gyro's shoulder, will keeping his sights on the location of the mystery sound, "Wake up already you lazy ass!"
